Craig McCaw's latest venture is a WiMax company offering wireless broadband. I believe this will start out as wireless "base-station" type access - you'd use this to replace DSL or cable-modem. I don't know if the power and antenna requirements would make this a viable alternative to laptop wifi (or even embedded in mobile phones) - but that would be awesome.
