Man arrested for telling Cheney, "Your policies in Iraq are reprehensible," and walking away. It still seems silly that the gov't would apply the catagory of enemy combatant to a normal American and lock them away, but this kind of crap induces a shred of doubt...

Quoted: The first film of its kind to chronicle the reasons behind Iraq’s descent into guerilla war, warlord rule, criminality and anarchy, NO END IN SIGHT is a jaw-dropping, insider’s tale of wholesale incompetence, recklessness and venality. Based on over 200 hours of footage, the film provides a candid retelling of the events following the fall of Baghdad in 2003 by high ranking officials such as former Deputy Secretary of State Richard Armitage, Ambassador Barbara Bodine (in charge of Baghdad during the Spring of 2003), Colonel Lawrence Wilkerson, former Chief of Staff to Colin Powell, and General Jay Garner (in charge of the occupation of Iraq through May 2003), as well as Iraqi civilians, American soldiers and prominent analysts. NO END IN SIGHT examines the manner in which the principal errors of U.S. policy - the use of insufficient troop levels, allowing the looting of Baghdad, the purging of professionals from the Iraqi government and the disbanding of the Iraqi military - largely created the insurgency and chaos that engulf Iraq today.

Frontline has done a really great job of summarizing what the White House has been doing to take as much power as possible in the name of the War on Terror.

I was amazed at how much they have gotten away with - even getting to the point of mass defections from the Justice department over their power grabs.

Cheney is the front man in this effort to strengthen the White House - this is a must-see documentary.

Interesting that I'm only finding this story in New Zealand press ... other than blogs. I don't expect Fox to cover it, but what about the so-called "legitimate" news media?

Quoted: Copies of handwritten notes by Vice President Dick Cheney, introduced at trial by defense attorneys for former White House staffer I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby, would appear to implicate George W. Bush in the Plame CIA Leak case.

Quoted: After being told two-thirds of Americans now think the war was not worth fighting, Cheney replied: "So?" "So you don't care what the American people think?"
