Quoted: A video disclaimed to be “Google - Confidential” with the title “Nooglers And The PDB: Reactor (Ben Darnell, September 6, 2007)” made its way onto a public Google Video page. A “noogler” is what people at Google call new employees; “Reactor” is Google’s codename for the back-end to Google Reader, the video says, and someone posting under the nickname “Fanboy” in this blog’s forum provided us with a nutshell of the talk. While the video has been removed by now, others – including Ionut Alex. Chitu, who also blogged on this in the meantime – were able to see it, and I’ve also got hold of a copy.

Quoted: Facebook certainly chose a peculiar time to announce the imminent death of a platform (and dare I say, operating system) staple: the installation screen. In the late afternoon of last Friday, Pete Bratach penned a post called “Streamlining Application Authorization” that went virtually unnoticed by the press at the time, even by Facebook-focused blogs.

Quoted: We've been tipped off that Google has been releasing nightly builds of their new Google Chrome browser like crazy. It's been reported that up to 10 nightly builds a day are being released for Chrome. That's a lot of updates to keep up with and we have to admit we're surprised at the pace in which Google is releasing these builds. However, the builds
