i've been asked a lot about my peace corps experience - many people want to volunteer abroad but aren't ready to do so for 2 years. IFRE has reputable volunteer abroad programs for much shorter periods - 2-12 weeks.

holy crap wow.... so so sad

I was thinking about making a Google Map of the places we've traveled. Now, I find that TripAdvisor has a very nice little application (using Google Maps, of all things - isn't this owned by Expedia?) that lets you click on city names at every level of detail on a world map. It will then create a pushpin at each location and make a nicely organized map you can browse by region.

This is WAY FASTER than I could have done this manually in Google Maps.

I've been to a lot of places (144 on my map so far - every one I've at least spent the night in)- and there are still so many we have yet to see.
