これまで多数のCMSを見てきたが、ここまで完成度が高いと言えるものに出会ったことはなかった…そう言えるくらい凄い。このどきどき感はDekiWikiに触れた時に感じたものに近い。
見たまま編集できるCMS
CMSと言えば、ユーザ画面と管理画面に分かれていて、管理画面はモジュールやテーマの設定、各項目の並びを指定するのが通常だ。実際の出力結果はシステム任せで、その点が柔軟性に欠ける点でもあった。
しかしこれは違う。見たまま編集でき、さらに高い柔軟性を維持している。
今回紹介するオープンソース・ソフトウェアはconcrete5、デザイン、管理、コンテンツ作成全てが高度なCMSだ。
相当個人的な感情が入ってしまっているのは、同じようなシステムを構築する予定があったからだ。だがconcrete5は完成度も高く、多少の改造さえ施せば十分な気がする。やはり下手に開発コストをかけるよりもオープンソースで探す方が良い。
編集画面
concrete5はPHP+MySQLで作られたCMSで、ユーザ画面を表示しながらその場でデータの編集ができる。さらにヘッダやメインコンテンツについてブロックを追加することも可能だ。DekiWikiのようにmonoが必須で、インストールが面倒なんてこともない。専用のウィザード画面で、ワンクリックでインストールが終わってしまう。
ブロックはHTML文書の他に、フォーム、ファイル（パスワード付きダウンロードも可能）、Flash、Googleマップ、画像、スライドショー、検索、投票、Youtubeビデオなどなど。もちろん自作もできる。
編集画面でテーマを変更すれば、画面のデザインは一新される。編集結果はバージョン管理され、後から前のバージョンを参照したり戻したりすることが可能だ。さらにパーミッション設定を行って、ゲスト/登録ユーザ/管理者の三段階について閲覧、編集権限を設定できる。
管理画面ではサイトマップやファイル管理、フォームの登録内容、ユーザ管理やブロックの追加などを行える。もちろんアクセス管理機能だってある。いやはや、こんなものを見せられると何かを一から構築しようという気がなくなってしまう。
まだ若干こなれない部分もあるかと思うが、十分使えるシステムだ。個人レベルはもちろん、企業であっても使いこなせるだろう。公式サイトにはデモがあるので、一度触れてみることをお勧めする。

CakePHPであれば、その習得コストは新しいCMSを覚えるのに比べると低く済みそうだ。そしてプラグイン機能ではなく直にカスタマイズしてしまえば、セキュリティの問題も回避できる可能性がある。
