This is a weirdly cool site about inventions made from science fiction books and movies.

Quoted: Technovelgy has over 950 science fiction ideas and inventions, and hundreds of SF made real articles.

I told you Kristen. And you thought Rock Monster would make Mansquito look like Kane. For shame...

Quoted: This Saturday's Sci Fi Channel original TV movie, Rock Monster, is actually pretty decent, a reviewer from Variety says.

Complete text of the short story on which the movie, "The Day The Earth Stood Still" is based. Both are good but I am partial to the written since I read it in an SF anthology long before seeing the movie.

This is quite amusing!

Quoted: Space epics almost always play fast and loose with science, treating the laws of physics like suggestions. Sound in space, unprotected bodies splatting in vacuum, and alien planets that all look just like Calabasas. But some movies dismember Newton and Einstein with way more gusto than others. We rated 18 movies based on how many laws of physics they mangled, and here's our report card.

I watched this movie with malboniz last night. It's a fascinating experiment with time, although somewhat cold. It's definitely not for everyone. If you're a science fiction buff and a fan of indie films, this is for you. If you like resolved plots in your films, stay away.

According to some reviews I have seen, this movie was made for $7,000. That's awesome and gives us all hope.

This review at The Village Voice is awesome but I would wait until after seeing the movie to read it.
