Today is the (3rd) anniversary of one of the worst railway crashes in Japan's history. The Osaka area train was traveling too fast (in order to make up time from a previous delay) around a curve and derailed. 106 passengers were killed and 555 were injured.

Manitoba Public Insurance

Last fall, I received my insurance renewal paperwork to insure my older vehicle. The insurance rate MPIC (Autopac) charged me was based on their established value of $6000. This spring, I was involved in an accident, and Autopac initially decided to write-off this auto. They valued it at $1200 for write-off purposes, which was the amount they were going to settle for. When I protested that MPIC themselves had valued it four months earlier at five times this write-off value when they set the insurance rate, then suddenly when theyre paying, the value drops, MPIC informed me that this was standard practice. I eventually convinced them that I could get it repaired for less than write-off, but they would have shafted me had I not questioned this

I have had my life fall apart after a 100% not my fault nor preventable accident in 2005...I still have multi-injuries including soft tissue (5) that will require approx 5-7 yrs to heal if ever...MPI should be charged w/ fraud. They have 3rd party medical consultants who get paid to distort the reports made by my Doctors and force the victim to deal with this. The distortions to reports and Doctors notes are so inaccurate it is mind boggling...simple english is manipulated to MPIs favor and since a medical consultant produced the finding (for a unknown fee$) they will not question it or the consultant. I have been sent to a psycologist ($3000.00 bill paid by MPI) who confirmed I am angry...and suffer chronic pain....I gave that info to MPI for free. During my return to work rehab program it was discovered that employers do NOT legally have to participate and then I lost my job (the

A 737 landing (from 2006?) on a collapsed right main landing gear. I find it interesting the the passengers do not immediately evacuate the plane (despite the sparks and flames around the right engine). Everyone waits calmly for the emergency equipment to spray foam retardant on the right wing. I'm not sure I would be so patient.

Quoted: Here is video of the 'TNT' 737 crash-landing at Birmingham Airport (EGBB)This landing happened after the aborted attempt at Nottingham East Midlands, where t...
