ballard
Sustainable Ballard is looking for help: "We urgently need someone with basic web skills (familiarity with CSS a bonus), and some spare time and dedication, to help us maintain the webpage. The possibility to develop the webpage as a tool for Sustainable Ballard exists, however, immediate help is needed with just updating, requiring between 5 to 7 hours per week (negotiable). Web development software could be used, but NO Microsoft FrontPage (sorry)."
Sustainable Ballard is a newly registered non-profit organization developing a grassroots vision of sustainability for the community of Ballard. Sustainability roughly means "meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs," and it is a philosophy which affects every sphere of human activity.

1 FaverShareViewed: 34 TimesDefinitely one of the better brunch places in Seattle. Everything I had -- cinnamon scone, the 'my favorite' scramble, and potatoes were exceptional. And, you get free coffee while you're waiting.
1 FaverShareViewed: 22 TimesQuoted: This place has a wonderfully comfortable feeling. Our waitress was super nice and friendly. The dish we ate that stood out was the 'my favorite' scrambled. It will get me back to this place the next time I am in Seattle. The potatoes were also excellent. The scone and the pancakes were good but just not exactly how I would like them. My husband loved the pancakes.
Ha!

If you like tea, you must check this place out. The owner is very knowledgeable. She will sit at your table to help you brew the tea and share her knowledge of tea with you.

I am never coming back to this joint, unless it comes down to either this or raw meat. :) Ok maybe I exaggerate a little bit. This place is ran by Chinese chefs (and possibly owners), and everything I ordered is very Chinese-ish. The tempura tasted like it was fried with Chinese shrimp crackers. It was also over fried. The sushi is not that great, mainly because of the lack of vinegar in the rice.
As far as food, I would say it's probably ok. The sushi, however, was not compelling.
1 FaverShareViewed: 8 TimesOh man, does james need this, *badly* so. I mentioned it to him and got this look, this, "are you out of your mind" look.
Anyway, I am dotting this b/c I loved Sung's other dot "for my metro-sexual bitches".

My latest blog post... It's kinda making wish I was going to be in Seattle just a little longer!
1 FaverViewed: 2 TimesQuoted: Ah, your first holiday in Seattle. Sure, it might be more of a grey Christmas than a white one (er, except for last year ), but there are plenty of events around town to make you feel like you're in a winter wonderland …
