Borges' "List of Animals" - which reads to me as a scathing debunking of the notion that things can be meaningfully categorized into a hierarchy of types.

I think Borges would be happy with the notion of tags; his 14 categories could usefully be possible characteristics of animals, but without the notion that these 14 categories exhaust the space of animals, and without the notion that an animal could not be in more than one (perhaps all?) of the categories at once.
