Some big retail development projects are stalling in the area. Among the most notable is the giant hole by Green Lake, long rumored to be a new site for a very welcome Metropolitan Market. Unfortunately, it seems that the lease situation with Metropolitan Market did not work out and the developer is busy trying to find a new anchor grocery store for the site before development continues.

With few grocery stores close by, one would think that a grocery chain like QFC or Metropolitan Market would jump at the chance to build in this affluent neighborhood. However, the location is prime and I bet the cost to lease such a large space would be astronomical

I'm trying to start a new meme - please refer to this commercial as the "Ass Clown" commercial whenever you talk or write about it.

Maybe we can shame MS into making commercials that are EITHER entertaining or inspiring.

so i was watching the Nike commercial (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rbZTmcIfdBQ) during the mens basketball game in the olympics and was blown away by the small clip of Marvin Gaye singing the national anthem....

ummm...wow...when you get people to *clap along*....and have women whooping all throughout...you have a gift my friend...wow

Two problems. 1) I myself have experienced "bus rage"—every single time I've ridden a bus. 2) The ads went up just in time for the occurrence of what must be the absolute worst case of bus rage in history.
