It was nice to see Federer playing his best tennis again.

Federer is in a very tight fourth-round match at one set all. I feel like he would have rolled over this opponent a year ago.
1 FaverShareViewed: 34 TimesQuoted: "I think Federer has been relying too much on his talent than hitting the gym in the last 18 months. Him not getting any stronger has taken its toll on his results recently."
I love Federer, but I am happy to see Blake, the American, inch closer to a tennis medal. Now, I hope that Paes-Bhupathi defeat Federer in doubles!
1 FaverShareViewed: 5 TimesQuoted: Roger Federer's dream of an Olympic medal in singles will have to wait until 2012 -- he does still does have doubles this year -- because James Blake has knocked him out and advanced to the semifinals.
Looks like Nadal will take over the #1 ranking from Federer on August 18th, and potentially sooner.

For that to happen, Nadal will must win the title and hope Federer loses before the semi-finals.

If not, Federer's four-and-a-half year stint at the top of the rankings seems likely to end on 18 August when he loses the 850 points he gained for reaching last year's Toronto final and winning in Cincinnati.
Nadal could become #1 very soon.

Federer has had more chances but has blown all of them. He is down 2 sets to 0. The rain-delay has postponed what I now think will be a straight set Nadal victory.
1 FaverShareViewed: 3 TimesQuoted: C'mon Federer how many breakpoint chances are you going to NOT take advantage of?

1 FaverShareViewed: 5 TimesQuoted: "I don't think winning or losing was really the issue tonight," said Federer, who perhaps found it easier to think that way as Monday turned into Tuesday, given that he did come out on top 6-3, 6-7 (4), 7-6 (6). "The winner was tennis. The winner was tennis in America."
