I watched this movie last night - it was an interesting look on people's outlook on life and happiness, and how they react to the events in their lives as well as the people in their lives that really shapes their happiness. It's not so deep as to tell you something you didn't know, but also not so hackneyed as to give you a predictably trite ending. Worth watching, but not the most cheerful thing...

What is your true worth? Are you happy? Do you know yourself? For your own benefit, forget for some time whatever tasks you have in your today’s schedule and try answering these questions.

I'm not into the the whole 'self-help' thing a lot... but these statements actually make some sense...
I feel pretty good about myself these days and think I can make most of these statements (not sure about 6, 10, 17 & 24) :)

Really interesting talk by Professor Barry Schwartz, author of the Paradox of Choice. He sets out to prove the thesis that

"Increased choice does NOT equate to increased welfare"

Has implications for public policy, product design, service offerings, retail shopping, inventory.

woot! is a good example of this at work (one-product web site).

This is an interesting rationalization for why ever increasing wealth doesn't necessarily buy ever increasing happiness.

Quoted: The trouble is, choice is not all it's cracked up to be. Studies show that people like selecting from among maybe half a dozen kinds of pasta at the grocery store but find 27 choices overwhelming, leaving them chronically on edge that they could have chosen a better one than they did
