We have yet to eat at Brix in Juanita. We went in on Sunday, but that's their jazz night. It's not a big place, but the music was cranked up like Led Zeppelin was playing.
We were seated, but left before we had to shout our orders to our waitress.
Skip Sundays

Ended up here on Sunday - not a busy night (another couple came in 10 minutes after us, and we were probably the only 4 customers that night)
I had the Wild Boar Zharkoe - a meat stew with a bread top that soaks up the juices as you eat it. Lisa had the Porcini Blinis and the roasted veggies. More than enough for 2 meals, and great flavor.
This place ain't cheap, and that's probably why they weren't busy, but the food was really good.

The downtown Kirkland development of Lake Street Place is forcing the store to vacate its waterfront location during the upcoming summer months. This puts an obvious damper in the store’s business plan. On numerous summer days, we have walked past a long line of ice cream addicts salivating out the Ben & Jerry’s door.

Just catching up on the news that Maurice Clemmons was shot on Dec 1st. Was Maurice setting a trap to kill the first responder to a reported stolen vehicle. That seems plausible, but why then did he approach the police car with his gun in his pants, instead of drawn and ready to fire?
I can't imagine the stress placed on Officer Benjamin Kelly in making the identification and decision to shoot Clemmons in just a matter of seconds.
