1 FaverShareViewed: 3 TimesQuoted: Seattle, what is wrong with you lately? Punching old gardeners, robbing banks, and now burying spikes at the bottom of Greenlake? This is not cool. ...
This has been my experience this season so far, as well.
1 FaverShareViewed: 15 TimesQuoted: The volume of snow makes the descent to the lake extremely difficult and Seattlest wasn’t interested in becoming another Snow Lake fatality. Normally hikers drop several hundred feet down to the shores, but this summer that won’t be reasonably safe for at least another month

i think it's true that you have to cultivate an appreciation for the outdoors in kids- they should get opportunities to hike, bike, kayak and develop a love of being outside. i also think it's true that we have to connect the "environment" to more than just these far away treks in nature - it's also about urban parks, water we drink and our health.
oh, and the title of this one is just for you Ben :-)
