This publication was defunct for several months. Now they're back, boasting the best Michigan daily news roundup anywhere. And if you don't like the writing, or are loyal to the schools they make fun of, there's a nice photo to lead things off today.

Quoted: Turns out, Davenport has dorms and a hockey team called the Panthers and everything! Go figure. One of their dorms was evacuated yesterday because of some weird smell. This whole thing was probably set up by the Davenport Board of Trustees to promote that they have dorms.

This kid did the intros last night at the game we went to - looks like it was his fourth time. Dice is back to 6th man, so no word on whether he still hits Al-a-biggity-bama with the same early high note. The girl who came out as Sheed did great leading the team in dance with the real Sheed cheering her on.

Here's the Michigan version of new websites going up in swing states. John McCain really doesn't understand Michigan...no chance of changing that since he decided to hightail it out of here.

Quoted: Learn why John McCain just doesn't understand Michigan.

Got to peruse the Ferndale store for a while Saturday (during the rainy afternoon - perfect bookstore time). They have amazing selection and a great atmosphere.

Coming to a fine wine retailer near you. Much to Roger Goodell's chagrin, because any discussion of this wine "may have a detrimental effect on the great number of young fans who follow our game." Yeah, this is the image problem you need worry about.

Quoted: Blended from grapes that were cultivated in some of the most exclusive vineyards in the Napa Valley, TwentyFour embodies the abundant blessings that surround us. This is a wine of pure enjoyment, gratitude, giving back and paying forward. From our cellar to yours,
we hope you enjoy.

I caught him and Prof. Penning on CSPAN the other day too. Nice to see him getting big attention after being at the forefront of research in this area for so long. He's also a very cool guy, and is no doubt enjoying all this.

Quoted: Recently, reporters from The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Christianity Today, The Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times and USA Today have sought the opinion of Calvin professor of political science and director of the Paul B. Henry Institute, Corwin Smidt.

Quoted: For the first time since the New Deal, the percentage of mainline Protestants who identify as Democrats is the greater than the percentage who identify as Republicans.
