Ugh, for REAL!

Quoted: BIG cities like New York are both deeply convenient — two steps to the deli for milk in the morning — and deeply inconvenient. It is possible to live in the same city as the person you are dating, and have to travel an hour, or even two, to get together.

It'd be interesting to see how these families fare once they leave New York City.

Quoted: New York City, which has struggled with a seemingly intractable problem of homelessness for years, has paid families to leave the city as a way of keeping them out of the expensive shelter system.

Going to a wedding here in a few weeks ... it looks beautiful, and the food sounds amazing!

Quoted: Bubby’s DUMBO provides the most magnificent view of the city. Nestled right on the river between the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges, there is no view that parallels it.

My latest blog post...

Quoted: After writing about my quest for decent New York pizza in Seattle, I realized I tend to focus on ways I find Seattle deficient compared to New York - the pizza, the Indian food, the bagels, etc. But it's unbecoming of a Jersey girl to complain so much.

Damn, it looks like things were close to riots at NYU.

Quoted: “People were maced,” said DeLayne DeMorgandie, a sophomore from Hunter College, who was standing in the front of the crowd with two friends. “Everyone at the front of the line was pepper sprayed.”

Yeah, I have some serious beefs I'd like to take up with NYU. Still, I think these protestors should've picked one cause and stuck with it - and used methods that didn't affect hourly wage workers and shut paying students out of their own dining hall.

Quoted: NYU Student Protest Comes To An End. NY1 News is Time Warner Cable's 24-hour newschannel in New York City, delivering breaking news and features about the five boroughs.

Oh, I hadn't thought about the fact he'd be moving out West! Sad... I wonder if he's taking Max Weinberg with him?

Quoted: Moving day approaches for Conan O'Brien. But before he heads West to replace Jay Leno as host of NBC's "Tonight" show, a nostalgic O'Brien prepares for the last week of his 16-year run at "Late Night." Feb. 20 is his last show before turning it over to Jimmy Fallon.
