I just signed up to run the Portland Marathon for my second time. It was a blast the first time. Let me know if any others of y'all are planning to do this or are interested. I'd love to get together on the weekends for the longer training runs!

This is very sad. James Kim was found dead today. I remember his reporting of technology stories for TechTV and CNET. He was a very likable personality, and I feel like I've lost someone I know, though I've never met him.

Everyone should learn from this. If you are making a long road trip in the wintertime, carry extra food and blankets. And most importantly, if you get stranded, STAY PUT. Under no circumstances should you try to find help. STAY PUT and let rescuers come to you.
