Quoted: Due to a glitch in Windows Vista, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer will mix up his notes at PDC ‘06 and declare: “Developers, developers, developers….We’re going to f*%ing bury those guys!” Nineteen will leave on stretchers with furniture-related injuries.

Shopping in 1999 as projected in the late 60's. Pretty neat.

Quoted: J. Richard Gott III has issued a wake-up call: To ensure our long-term survival, we need to get a colony up and running on Mars within 46 years.

Wow! This is a really cool article about Gott using the Copernican Principle to determine how soon we need to start lving in space for the survival of mankind. He apparently has predicted numerous other things, including tenures of gov't officials, and has an accuracy rate of 95%! Can he help me predict when I will find my soulmate ;)

Quoted: It's probably way too early in the offseason to write this post, since there's still plenty of time for Bavasi to change the look of the active roster if he feels like it, but in the wake of all this recent pessimism I wanted to share my thoughts on the current 2007 Seattle Mariners.

Wired's 2007 predictions. Funny that I'm getting a Blu-ray ad on a page predicting its demise. Still not sure why people are assuming that either format will win. Who won, SACD or DVD-A? Hehe, thought so.

Looks like this site is keeping track of the latest polls and coloring the states accordingly. Note: There are 3 'barely democratic' states. Looks like the senate balance could hinge on those states.

New Jersey looks like it will go to the Democrat despite Tom Kean's family legacy. Montana, while labeled barely Democrat, is now apparently a dead heat based on what I heard on CNN.

Quoted: Track the Senate election with a red/blue map of the US updated daily using the latest state polls. House races are also covered.

Yes, Monkeys are now officially better at predicting baseball games than ESPN analyists. I'm really not terribly surprised.
