iLife、iWorkとの完全な連携も可能になった。従来、アップルのソフトウェアは写真イメージの管理をiPhotoで行なうことを前提に設計されていたが、Aperture側の仕様変更により、iPhotoで行なえるiLife、iWorkとの連携操作がApertureでも可能になった。これによりApertureで管理するRAW、JPEGなどのイメージファイルを、簡単にDVD化したり、iPodに転送、Webページ作成、プレゼンテーション用スライドショー作成などに活用できる。

さらに、Apertureで管理する画像のエクスポート用APIを定義。近くソフトウェア開発キットが配布される。この機能は写真を活用するサービスやアプリケーションとの連携を実現するためのものだ。

たとえば写真を選んでFlicker用プラグインを呼び出すと、写真のタイトルやコメントを入力するエリアが現れ、そこに入力したテキストとともにFlickerに写真を自動掲載する。同様にフォトストレージサービスやデジカメ向けインターネットDPEサービスなどと連携させることもできる。
