Angry IP scanner is a very fast IP scanner and port scanner. It can scan IP addresses in any range as well as any their ports. Its binary file size is very small compared to other IP or port scanners.

People have said it's the only non-Apple technology device that they love. It's a little pricey at $440.

Get a cheap ($15) USB bar code reader from Library Thing. I have a more expensive reader that I used to scan many of the UPC's from the home library (for import to Library Thng).
