I'm really enjoying all of these stories about Secretary Clinton. My respect and admiration for her just continues to grow. Yay Hillary!

Quoted: In the latest mutation in a career of many changes, Hillary Rodham Clinton ’s days have become a whirl of diplomacy, White House meetings and travel.

Just when they're starting to roll, the Ottawa Senators are about to get sidetracked, by, of all things, the U.S. presidential election campaign.

Here's another anecdote the press likes to skip over.

Quoted: For a candidate running on character and biography, it is also an awkward time to remember: Mr. McCain abandoned his wife, who had reared their three children while he was in Vietnamese prisons, and he then began his political career with the resources of his new wife's family.

Quoted: While there will be no shortage (I hope, probably ill-advisedly) of coverage of the substantive issues at stake in the upcoming FISA debate, there's a bit of parliamentary procedure I think you need to know about in order to be a more effective citizen lobbyist: the motion to recommit.

A vote in the US Senate fell four votes short of what was needed to restore habeas corpus — the fundamental right of individuls to challenge government detention. Here is the record of the vote on the Cloture Motion to restore Habeas Corpus. Article 4 of the US Constitution states that habeas corpus shall not be suspended unless in cases of rebellion and invasion when the public safety may require it.
