I like the new RescueTime home page - and especially the tag line (is it new)?

- Ridiculously Easy Time Management & Analytics

The value proposition is really explicit and easy to get now:

- Effortless Time Tracking
- Beat Interuption Overload
- Compare your Productivity

Note the clever SEO trick for the page title "Free Time Management Software | Rescue Time"

a) The company name is at the END not the beginning (better SEO for the search terms NOT the company name).
b) Includes the terms for the searches thay want to target AND has the eye-catching "Free" at the beginning for the SERP).

Quoted: RescueTime is time management software that helps individuals and businesses understand how they spend their time (with NO DATA ENTRY), and provides tools to help them spend it more productively.

Mohit's talk is already hitting the blogosphere.

Quoted: Session Intro: This session will bring together experts who will use all of the information and tactics learned throughout the day and apply them to detailed site reviews of the code and infrastructure of sites submitted in advance by the audience.
...
Vanessa Fox, Features Editor at Search Engine Land is moderating this session and speakers include Evan Roseman, Software Engineer at Google, Mohit Srivastava, Co-Founder of Faves.com, Nathan Buggia, Lead Program Manager at Microsoft Webmaster Center, and Derrick Wheeler, Senior SEO Architect of Microsoft.com at Microsoft.
...
This session will include actual case studies. First example is Faves.com. Wanted to capture long tail keyword searches so distributed long tail content across many linkable pages. Tried to make sure not to have duplicate content but some fallover is okay.

I wonder what current Google service he is referring to. In any case, I like his idea...

Quoted: In fact, it is such a serious business that I have a second recommendation for Google. They have a service today that Ryan used to determine what the problem was for his site. Apparently the site was hacked and spammers inserted some bogus links that he wasn’t even aware of. I sympathize. A blog gets big and who spends time patrolling every post looking for such misdeeds? My suggestion for Google is to offer a reporting service. They could certainly charge for it if they wanted, because it is critical stuff for a lot of sites. For a nominal fee, perhaps $5 or so a month, it should be possible to get an email alert whenever your site’s status changes with Google. Whether that is a page rank change, or the more serious step of being delisted, you’d get an email when it happened. I have to believe this would be a net profit generator for Google, as well as a comfort for those who rely on Google.
