Uhhh, if somebody at Asus just spilled the beans on a collaboration with Apple on atablet PC, I would guess that there will be repercussions for Asus or at least the person responsible for the leak. Apple has a habit of not liking secrets leaked.

Quoted: We checked back with our source at Asus on a different day and they confirmed that the Apple Tablet will not be based on existing Asus designs such as the R1. It will come from a completely new blueprint, possibly based on the patent Apple filed back in May 2005. The Mac tablets look quite good although they are a bit steep on price (since they have to by a Mac and then take it apart and mod it).

I'd be interested if they could hit the price of the normal macbook but it seems a might inefficient way (cost-wise) to get a tablet right now.

Apparently this company is claiming that they will be releasing a mac tablet PC at the year's MacWorld (kicking off next Monday).
