ok, here I am asking a question of Gov Gregoire and Candidate Dino Rossi in the WA state governor's race. please go to youtube and watch the video and give it a good rating so that it's picked as one of the final 5! (and make fun of me later...) Even if you don't live in the state, you can still vote on the video :-)

Quoted: Sudha, from Spokane asks: Do you believe that global warming is caused by human activities? If so, do you support science based and enforceable caps to limit...

Very interesting. I certainly am unhappy about global warming. But, this is kinda interesting. While we will lose our coastal cities, maybe global warming doesn't imply doomsday is near? If dinosaurs could survive in the following conditions, what about humans?

Quoted: At the peak of the dinosaur era, there were no polar ice caps, and sea levels are estimated to have been from 100 to 250 metres (330 to 820 feet) higher than they are today. The planet's temperature was also much more uniform, with only 25 degrees Celsius separating average polar temperatures from those at the equator. On average, atmospheric temperatures were also much warmer; the poles, for example, were 50 °C warmer than today. [38][39]
...
The atmosphere's composition during the dinosaur era was vastly different as well. Carbon dioxide levels were up to 12 times higher than today's levels, and oxygen formed 32 to 35% of the atmosphere, as compared with 21% today.

Apparently if you don't like something, you can ignore it by just not opening the email.

Quoted: The White House told E.P.A. officials that it would not open an e-mail sent in December that argued that greenhouse gases are pollutants that must be controlled.

Now I'm even more curious to see this movie...

Quoted: Pixar's new animated feature Wall-E is more than a great movie. According to the critics, it's a trenchant social commentary. So what is this powerful and profound message? Wall-E tells us that if we don't change the way we live, we'll all get really fat and destroy the world.

Check out how much carbon dioxide your car emits a year. I drive a Mazda 3, which , by comparison, is not a "gaz guzzler". But because of my daily commute from Fremont to Boeing plants in Everett, Renton, and Bellevue, (30 miles + seattle traffic) it's technically a gaz guzzler.

Quoted: TerraPass allows consumers to easily and affordably eliminate the environmental impact of driving their cars by purchasing carbon emission offsets. Help prevent global warming. TerraPass is a global warming solution that reduces carbon dioxide air pollution. Your car puts several tons of carbon dioxide into the air every year. TerraPass takes it back out. Easy, effective, affordable.

Quoted: Could the ultracapacitor replace lithium ion in hybrids and plug-in vehicles? In a tiny box at a messy lab, the future of automotive efficiency is taking a surprising turn toward extending range and battery life.

Quoted: The disappearance of the Arctic sea ice, making it possible to reach the Pole sailing in a boat through open water, would be one of the most dramatic – and worrying – examples of the impact of global warming on the planet. Scientists say the ice at 90 degrees north may well have melted away by the summer.

Quoted: First, global warming lacks a mustache. No, really. We are social mammals whose brains are highly specialized for thinking about others. Understanding what others are up to — what they know and want, what they are doing and planning — has been so crucial to the survival of our species that our brains have developed an obsession with all things human. We think about people and their intentions; talk about them; look for and remember them.
