Although Flex 3 is open source, there isn't a decent IDE out there for it apart from Adobe's commercial Flex Builder 3. Luckily, they've made it free for students here - just fill in the form and attach a scanned copy of your student card. Only takes a day or two to get the key. Pretty neat stuff.

Check it out - pretty cool stuff, given using Photoshop to mock up websites is a fairly universal thing among web designers. Pity they couldn't do this for HTML/JS/CSS too.

Quite a bold move. I think companies should also consider the hybrid mode (and maybe Adobe is) -- where there is a fairly rich client whose bits can be downloaded on demand.

Looks a heap more impressive than Google's Presently. Love the nice UI, and the Keynote-like transitions. In fact, when available on AIR, this may actually drag me away from PowerPoint...

Awesome stuff - didn't know Flex was this flexible (no pun intended). Check out the 3D rendering! All said though, why? Yes you can ensure copyright, and enable those without these desktop tools to use, but was that worth it?
