A divorced 50-year-old mother of four and teacher’s aide from Green Bay, Wisc., faces 25 years in prison and a $100,000 fine after her daughter walked in on her in bed with a 17-year-old teen she was supposedly tutoring over the summer.
Shelly Jensen faces a charge of child enticement after the incident was reported to police. Jensen was allegedly found in bed with a teen, whose arms were around her. The two were clothed and watching TV at the time, but the teen told police they had consumed alcohol before and had sex on three occasions.
Jensen’s ex-husband was the one who notified police after the adult daughter told him about what she’d seen.
According to the Green Bay Press-Gazette, Jensen had tutored the teen in math and English and was supposed to be offering additional tutoring over the summer.
Jensen denied she ever had sex with the teen and told police that she invited him to her house because he was in a bad situation at home.
But the victim told police the two had consumed beer and vodka in the past, and that they had sex three times.
Jensen has been placed on administrative leave from her job, and Brown County Assistant District Attorney Dana Johnson said she has a history of inappropriate behavior with minors, although that behavior has not been specified, and the accused doesn’t have a criminal record.
The mother of four has been ordered to stay out of contact with minors other than her kids, ages 7 and 10, and not to drink alcohol.
As mentioned before, the charge Jensen faces could result in a 25-year prison stint and $100,000 in fines.
