Photos uploaded to Michael Sheldon’s Facebook page have been shared more than 19,000 times since being posted a day ago and starting the trend #IAmOmarMateen.
The simple premise was to put the words “I Am Omar Mateen” above pictures of notable conservative figures.

A quick glance of Twitter shows that there has been a lot of positive response to the hashtag.
The trend reminds of some responses to the San Bernardino terrorist attack, where the NRA was accused of waging a “sick jihad” for its pro-gun stance and Republicans in Congress were blasted for offering thoughts and prayers to victims and families.
