Sarah Lindsay Lewis is in a lot of trouble.

The 27-year-old teacher from Utah has been charged with having sex with a student, and the most serious change — first degree rape — carries a life sentence.

Authorities say since Lewis occupied a “position of special trust,” and the alleged victim is under the age of 18, he can’t legally consent to sexual contact, according to  the Salt Lake Tribune.

According to the report, which is based on court documents, Lewis met the teen boy when she taught him in one of her classes in 2015. The victim told authorities he met Lewis at her home, where she gave him vodka before they had sex in her bedroom. The teen captured cell phone video of him and Lewis “making out,” according to charging documents, and that footage was turned over to police.

The prosecutor claims Lewis told that boy that if he were ever asked, he should deny the relationship.

In addition to the rape charge, Lewis is charged with tampering with a witness, a third-degree felony, and two counts of misdemeanor furnishing alcohol to a minor.
