We’ve heard of the ice bucket challenge, but we don’t recall it ever being this challenging.
Following Brandon Cook’s victory over Steven Butler a couple weeks ago at the Bell Centre in Montreal, fans became rowdy and started to throw objects into the ring. Cook was barely able to even celebrate his victory, as someone somehow got hold of an ice bucket, tossed it into the ring and immediately dropped Cook.
Suffering injuries to his face, Cook wasn’t the only one injured in the audience brawl. Apparently, at least five were injured, including two Bell Centre employees.
A 22-year-old man was slapped with an assault charge following the brouhaha, and a 23-year-old man, possibly the one who threw the bucket, was jailed for armed assault.
And here we thought Canadians were supposed to be a peaceful sort.
