“A premium wearable for happy hours, wine tastings, and more” can soon be yours to use in tandem with your smartphone to track just how much you’ve had to drink on any given occasion.
Proof by Milo Sensors describes itself as a “patent-pending disposable cartridge system [that] converts perspired alcohol into an alcohol level specific to you.”
The way it works, as Mashable notes, is you slap on the wristband and it “reads alcohol molecules through your skin.”
It does this using an “enzyme-based electrochemical sensor [that] converts alcohol into an electrical current,” which can then be displayed on your smartphone.
The device/app combo can even predict how drunk you may end up.
Milo Sensors plans to crowdfund for the product in 2017.
