With Valentine’s Day less than a week away, we’ve stumbled upon a study on the holiday that we feel should be categorized as “alternative facts.”

According to Epi24, a manufacturer of adult toys, 44 percent of women don’t expect anything for Valentine’s Day. This data comes from a survey conducted of 400 women in December of last year. Coincidentally the rate of divorce in the United States is estimated between 42-45 percent, according to data obtained from experts.

We’re going to go out on a limb and say that almost all, if not all women in a relationship, are expecting at least some flowers or some chocolates. Don’t be that guy that shows up empty-handed, at least have a card, a stuffed animal, or something.

Word to the wise, if you’re going to take the advice of this study, don’t be surprised if you’re single by February 15th.
