The U.S. attorney’s office is preparing to present evidence to a grand jury against the wife of the Orlando terrorist who massacred 49 people last weekend, and a new report reveals authorities have obtained a crucial piece of video footage.
CBS News is reporting that authorities have obtained a shocking video that shows Noor Salman buying ammunition with her husband — the terrorist Omar Mateen, who committed the worst mass shooting in American history.
Salman is already under investigation because authorities say she knew about the coming massacre on the Pulse night club, but did not inform authorities.
Salman, 30, told federal agents she tried to talk her husband out of carrying out the attack and that she was with him when he bought ammunition and a holster, according to NBC News. Authorities now have that piece of evidence in hand.
Salman also said that she once drove her husband to Pulse so he could scope it out.
The situation is reminiscent of the San Bernardino attacks, where a neighbor of the terrorists responsible was arrested for buying the weapons that were used in the attacks..
Not much is known about Salman, though the Los Angles Times started to paint a picture of her. She was born in the San Francisco Bay area to Palestinian immigrants, living in a neighborhood of tract homes in a community northeast of San Francisco. She meet Mateen online, and the two married in California in 2011. The couple has a three-year-old son.
Salman is reportedly cooperating in the investigation into the senseless attack that killed 49 people and injured another 53 in the early morning hours of Sunday June 12.
