As Hillary Clinton barrels ahead to the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia next month, it’s become clear that she’s the party’s nominee. So, it begs the question: what is going on with Bernie Sanders? Is he still in the race?

That’s exactly what the Vermont senator’s campaign manager, Jeff Weaver, was asked on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Friday. And, perhaps, his answer may surprise you.

Weaver repeatedly said “yes” Sanders is still in the race and is an “active candidate for president.”

In a live-streamed message Thursday, Sanders promised to work with Clinton to defeat GOP nominee Donald Trump. But, he did not end his presidential bid nor did he make it totally clear how he plans to beat Trump.

However, Sanders still plans to take his bid all the way to the convention and highlight the “strong” differences between his views and Clinton’s.
