Everyone remembers the first time sportscaster Brent Musburger laid eyes on Katherine Webb (now Katherine Webb-McCarron since her marriage to Cincinnati Bengals quarterback A.J. McCarron) during the Alabama’s destruction of Notre Dame on national television.

How could we ever forget this?

Musburger says, “You quarterbacks, you get all the good looking women, what a beautiful woman, wow!”

Well, we’ll never hear Musburger make a call like that again because he has announced that he is stepping away from the booth.

Technically, his last game is Jan. 31, so there may be some Musburger magic left in the tank. It won’t rival the Katherine Webb sighting of 2013, though.

We didn’t forget this Musburger moment and, more importantly, Katherine Webb-McCarron didn’t forget it either.

The former Miss Alabama, model and mother gave Musburger a nice send-off.

“Cheers Brent, you were good to me,” she tweeted.

That’s a good way to go out, Brent.
