After a 15-year absence, Danny Rand has come back to the Big Apple to reclaim his rightful place as heir to his family’s business—using a thrilling combo of martial arts and mystical power to kick some serious ass in the process. Such is the premise of Marvel’s latest and greatest effort, Iron Fist, the entire first season of which drops on Netflix March 17th.

Let’s give the official trailer a look, shall we?

Hot damn, this looks promising. Finn Jones is absolutely fantastic as Danny Rand—and watching the character step out of the canonical shadows of the Marvel universe (he’s usually paired with Luke Cage in a sidekick-type of role) is going to make for a hell of a show. Let’s not forget the astounding success Marvel’s experienced with its DaredevilJessica Jones and Luke Cage series; it’s a safe bet Iron Fist is going to follow suit.

For those of you keeping up with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the advent of Iron Fist represents the last piece in the puzzle that forms New York City’s most badass superhero team, the Defenders. The Defenders Netflix series is currently in production, and we couldn’t possibly be more stoked for it.
