Peyton Manning might be the most gracious player the NFL has ever seen. Even with all the future first ballot Hall of Famer has accomplished, you’d be hard-pressed to dig up even one instance where he’s been anything but polite.
When he retired, Gatorade put out a heartfelt commercial that featured various coaches, players, celebrities and family members reading excerpts from letters Manning had written them over the years. But in an ESPY’s skit Thursday that lampoons that commercial, The Sheriff took uncharacteristic digs at mom, dad, brother Eli, Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Derek Jeter and even Lorne Michaels. Huh? Oh, right.
Manning once did Saturday Night Live.
