You might remember George Zimmer as the guy who appeared in Men’s Wearhouse commercials for decades and guaranteed men that they were going to like the way they look after going to his suit place.

Well, the 68-year-old Zimmmer isn’t doing that anymore. He was fired from the company he founded and launched a new business, Generation Tux, a tuxedo rental company.

But get this — in a recent interview with Business Insider, Zimmer revealed that he’s a big weed advocate and first smoked the stuff in the ’60s.

Judging by his remarks, Zimmer has actually been a marijuana lifer.

“The fact is — and I mean the scientific fact — [marijuana] is less toxic and dangerous than cigarettes and alcohol, which are the main drugs in the United States,” he said.

“I’m just following a kind of lifetime passion of mine to help correct this myth,” he added. “I refer to [marijuana] as harm reduction. So the way cannabis helps is, when you lose your job, you don’t go on a two-week bender.”

Zimmer even hinted that cannabis helped him cope with his firing from Men’s Wearhouse.
