As Minnesota’s second-largest inland lake, Mille Lacs Lake (which means “thousand lakes” in French) is known as a fishing hotspot and is particularly known for its muskie.

Despite it being ridiculously cold (take into account that this was filmed in mid-December), this fisherman from YouTube channel Hoyer Fishing decided to bring a couple buddies along and hit up Mille Lacs anyway and was rewarded for it greatly in the form of this mammoth muskie.

Coming in at 52.5 inches long and 28.75 around, this bad boy was joke. We wish Mr. Hoyer continued luck in all the rest of his fishing endeavors this year, but we have a feeling he isn’t going to need it.
