Just like any activity that involves diving below a large body of water and exploring what lies beneath, spearfishing certainly isn’t for the faint of heart. Throw in a deadly weapon and you’re sure to not making any friends amongst the sea creatures below.

This spearfisherman no doubt realizes the risks that come with his hobby but he probably wasn’t expecting to come face-to-face with an angry bullshark with his speargun in tow just off Australia’s North Queensland coast.

As you can see from the video, the shark charges at the spearfisherman, who instinctively sticks his oncoming attacker with his readied weapon, narrowly escaping a huge helping of trouble.

It doesn’t really get anymore intense than that.
