A 26-year-old now former teacher’s aide from Pennsylvania stands accused of carrying on an affair with a 16-year-old student for a month.
Christine Towers has resigned from her position as an aide at Conestoga High School after being charged with four counts of having sex with a minor. She’s scheduled to go to trial on the charges on Jan. 23, but Chester County (PA) Court of Common Pleas records show trial dates have been continued several times.
From March 17 to March 20, the student said, the teacher and student had unprotected sex four times. The teen also said Towers told him not to tell the police about their relationship.
Towers was charged Thursday with institutional sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child and corruption of minors.
She has been released on bail.
