Oh, you knew this bit had to happen.

Earlier this year for Mother’s Day, Jimmy Kimmel had his staff read out some hilarious texts from their moms. They were the kind of texts you would expect from a parent still adjusting to technology — overly long, with weird emoticons and too much information.

For the sake of equality, Kimmel has done the same bit in honor of Father’s Day to show you one thing: your parents probably both suck at texting.

For example, what is this text supposed to even mean?

We don’t quite know what information this text is supposed to convey, but hopefully this particular staffer called his dad to check in on him.

This might be a good time to text your dad if you can; see if you can get a funny response from him over the silliest things. It will definitely be worth it.
