When you ask people to name their top 10 or even top 5 favorite comedy movies, “Animal House” almost always has a place on their lists. Sure, the irreverent and gross-out humor isn’t for everyone, but even the biggest “Animal House” hater can’t deny that the 1978 film set the stage for comedy movies as we know them today.

It’s really hard to pick a favorite scene or quote from the movie, and almost all of them involve the late John Belushi’s character Bluto, but probably one of our favorites is the classic “I’m a zit” scene. It’s such a simple gag, and what makes it even funnier is the fact that Belushi improvised it, so the reactions of the cast members are actually genuine. Comedy today could certainly use some more John Belushis.

“Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor!”

Come on, we’ve all wanted to do this at some point in our lives.

Say what you will, but this scene pretty much put “Shout” on the map.
