What’s better than hearing the story about the time that the late John Lennon and George Harrison tripped on acid for the first time? Seeing the story recreated in fantastic animation.

Lennon described the acid trip during a 1970 interview with “Rolling Stone,” and so now more than 40 years later, the pop culture publication decided to give the tale a little bit of animated enhancement.

“We thought when we went to the club, we thought it was on fire and we were cackling in the street,” Lennon explains. “And then people were shouting ‘let’s break a window!’ Ya know, we were just insane. I mean we just had our heads.”

The whole trip ended with Lennon imagining Harrison’s house was a giant submarine that he was riding along in. Huh, we wonder what the significance of a submarine had on Beatles history?
