The the day since Mariah Carey released her newest video, “I Don’t,” it’s blown up YouTube. It’s the No. 4 trending video with more than 4 million views in just 22 hours.
And, it contains a clear message to her former fiance, in which she burns a dress and wears a skimpy white lace bustier and white garter, as if to say, this is what you’re missing, Mister.
Maybe it’s because, in the video, she burns a $250,000 custom made wedding dress, as per TMZ.com. That’s the same dress she was supposed to wear during her impending marriage to Australian billionaire James Pacer before their relationship fell apart in a dispute over a pre-nuptial agreement.
People Magazine reported that the song was inspired by her breakup, and she said during an episode of her reality TV showMariah’s World:
Ever since the tour wrapped I took some time just to process my feelings and I started writing a song to express what I’ve been going through. And if you’re not getting the love that you need from someone that you’re supposed to be in a real relationship with, then why remain in that situation?
And, she didn’t.
