This 21-year-old Dane has defied the odds, after losing more than 125 pounds to become a model. Mathilde Broberg has shown that when you’ve had enough, it’s possible to overcome your obstacles and achieve success.
What finally motivated Broberg to begin her weight-loss regimen was when she was almost denied access to ride a rollercoaster due to the safety harness and her nearly 280-pound frame.
She’d had enough. Broberg ousted sweets, pasta, bread, chips and everything that she deemed to be detrimental to her well-being. She says she had to retrain herself and manipulate her brain into thinking she was full sooner, Whatever she’s done, it’s worked…and she looks fantastic.
She’s now a sportswear and catalog model, and she’s hitting the scale at a sculpted 147 pounds Kudos to her for all the hard work.
New year, new start? _ Let 2017 be the year where you make this kinda transformation because it is possible. Quite whining and start kick some ass. First step is to cut down the size of your portions, eat less (1 small portion pr meal) and eat HEALTHY! If you don't know what healthy food is you can contact me and I can give you a meal plan for a small amount / cost. Next step is to become active! Be as active as possible throughout the day and don't just sit still. I remembered that I played a lot of Just Dance and picked the hardest songs to really sweat it out. It must have done something! But the most important step is the food you eat ❤️ _ #newyear #transformation
Stop being obsessed with your weight – it doesn't define you OR your shape! _ The number on the scale is just a freakin number. Nothing else. I weigh in 70,5kg and I'm at my heaviest in a long time. But honestly I don't really care about my weight as long as I like what I see. And that's important to remember! The number doesn't define your beauty either or your health. Health and beauty comes in tons of different styles. _ Real beauty is being in balance with yourself inside and outside. I'm not saying that obesity is health because it isn't – being obese/overweight isn't health and people need to understand this. But being healthy is definitely neither having a six pack and 18% body fat. Again, health is a body and mind in balance! _ Stop wondering so much about what other people weight and NEVER EVER compare yourself with others!!! Even if they're the same height as you – everybody is different! Love yourself, be healthy and be active – simply just enjoy your life. _ Right now I'm on my way back to Aarhus after a small lovely Christmas vacation in Copenhagen with my family. I've been eating sooo much tasty food and drinking so many amazing drinks and good wine. Life's great and don't forget to enjoy every little second of it. _ #bodypositive#fuckthescale
Measurements 🙆🏻 This is crazy! _ If I can do it so can you! Anything is possible it you want enough – never stop believing in yourself and stay strong. This is a journey that's been going on since summer, 2012. My weightloss journey ended 2,5 years ago and since that I've been working out in the gym minimum 3 times EVERY week. In a period from Fall, 2014 to Summer, 2015 I've been eating too healthy (and too little) + worked out 6 times pr week. At that time my measurements were lower than they are now – At 57 kg (125lbs) _ Bust: 79 cm Waist: 60 cm Hip: 80 cm _ I was really skinny at that time but I had loose skin/harsh fat .. I started to eat more (2200kcal) everyday and I've been following well organized workout schedules for 1 year now and this is where I am today. Hard work do pay off! _ If you really want to change your life you gotta decide to find the power within you. You are the only one to make it happen. You're the only one who controls what goes in to your mouth, how long you walk, how much you're being active. Get control over your brain, because that's the one you can blame: You're in control, not your inner-voice! Don't waist time on the right time to come – there is no perfect time, you just have to start and never look back. It will be tough and it will feel like an endless road, but you will make if you just don't quit! How much do you want it? _ … Ask yourself _ #determination
✖️❌Gym time ❌✖️ _ Finished a great workout with my boo with some really concentrated deadlifts 🙅🏻 I miss squatting actually – never thought I would miss squats! But I'm getting strong and currently working on my hammies (hamstrings) because I need strength progress in them 💪🏼 So that's what I'm working on atm, if you were wondering! _ 6×8 slow eccentric deadlifts (elevated) _ 4×6 lying leg curl _ #gymselfie#legday
