An ex-teacher in Utah, already serving a minimum two-year sentence for having sex with three high school students, just opened up another can of worms with a letter she wrote from her cell.
Brianne Altice, 36, claims she had “no evil or malicious intent” in her handwritten letter, which addresses a lawsuit filed by the parents of one of the victims. In the letter, she also blames the child’s parents for not being involved in their child’s education, according to NY Daily News.
As you can see, she spends most of her time writing about issues that have nothing to do with her crime, making it seem as if she was an exemplary educator who was never reprimanded by her former employer.
Altice wrote that she can’t afford legal representation, so she wrote the letter.
When it comes to legal representation, the victims’ family will need new counsel for their civil suit because their lawyers have dropped out of the case. The family says the lawyers — who took the case on a contingency basis — told them the case is now getting too expensive for their continued involvement, and they may have trouble winnig the case,
