On the first Monday Night Raw of the new year, one-man wrecking crew Braun Strowman took on Sami Zayn in a Last Man Standing match, where the first wrestler to keep his opponent incapacitated for a 10-second count walks away the victor.

Despite Strowman’s clear size advantage over Zayn, the WWE titan took some damage of his own, as Zayn was able to deal some serious blows via kendo stick. Just one look at Strowman’s back shows just how intense the match was.

Zayn’s valiant effort unfortunately wasn’t enough, though, as Strowman dominated the match in the end, sending the Quebec, Canada native back to the locker room in a stretcher.
