Somehow, some way Tom Brady and the New England Patriots were able to overcome a 21-3 deficit Sunday night and shock the Atlanta Falcons 34-28 to win Super Bowl LI. Even many of those who were hoping for the Patriots dynasty to fall short and for Brady to have his fifth ring snatched from him found just a little bit of satisfaction in watching NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, who has made it his mission for years now too see the Pats fail, have a chorus of boos rained down on him at Houston’s NRG Stadium as he had to hand the Lombardi trophy over, yet again, to Patriots owner Robert Kraft.
Despite Goodell’s attempts to squash the Patriots championship chances by slapping Brady with a four-game suspension at the beginning of the seasons, Brady was still able to put on impressive performance after impressive performance before mounting the comeback of his career.
Needless to say, his victory on Sunday was definitely a stunner. You could maybe even say it was a Stone Cold Stunner?
