OMG.  I am this close to trading up my LeBrons for the Nike Destros.

Quoted: Battling the G.I. Joes requires cunning, tenacity, and the proper footwear. Fortunately, Nike is offering a trio of sneakers that let you declare your allegiance to Cobra while providing excellent traction and arch support.

I figure that with the shape the United States is in right now, it's only a matter of time before we lose one of the four major North American sports leagues. I’m not saying this will happen tomorrow, or even at all, but it's a risk.

The Knicks face decisions on two of their own, a pair of popular and productive players they will try to retain - but only if it doesn't cost them too much.

Their situations are identical, their circumstances similar and their future with their current employer just as cloudy. The only difference between Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade, outside from a playing perspective, involves perception and paranoia.

The Toronto Raptors gleaned their name from the animatronic villains of the 1993 film Jurassic Park. It is only fitting that we recognize that here.

In just one weekend, two superstars met destiny and changed their outlook forever. One superstar proved the doubters and one very large nay-sayer wrong. Another reached the first of many lofty expectations put before him.

Also in the category of "not rocket science," is the notion that Jackson, whose teams have won 10 of the past 19 NBA championships, now stands as the greatest coach, not simply in the history of the NBA but in the pantheon of North American pro sports.

The last two NBA champions have proved just that, and the next team willing to make a bold move might be the one sipping champagne next June. But how many teams dare to do it during an uncertain economic climate?

yikes... apparently Nike reps have confiscated all the tapes which show LeBron James getting dunked on by a college Sophomore.

Quoted: On Monday night, a pair of videographers recorded Xavier's Jordan Crawford dunking on James during a pickup game. After James allegedly huddled with Nike executive Lynn Merritt, the tapes were confiscated.
    ...
Thou shalt not dunk on the King and live to YouTube about it. Predictably, Nike came to James' rescue and insisted the tapes were commandeered only because videotaping pickup games after hours is against policy. It has also been suggested that James, who recently underwent facial surgery and is probably not in game shape, would be more concerned about his conditioning level than the dunk.
