These features include support for the Kai network, daemon-based services, IPv6, Wireless Distribution System, RADIUS, advanced quality of service, radio output power control, overclocking capability, and software support for a Secure Digital Card hardware modification. DD-WRT v24 is in development will allow up to 16 virtual interfaces with different SSIDs and encryption protocols. There is support for some PowerPC, IXP425-based router boards, Atheros WiSOC and X86 based systems. As of January 2, 2008, DD-WRT v24 has advanced to Release Candidate 6.2 status.

We' using this ADSL/2 router as a stop-gap until Seakeasy replaces our ADSL/2 modem. Problem is I can't figure out how to route static IP's through this router - it normally acts as a Firewall with NAT. But even turning off NAT I don't know how to create the needed routing table entries.

This fixed my router reliability problems.

Quoted: Apparently there is a bug in the WRT54GS v2.2. The bug involves a fatal memory access error due to a difference in the CPU clock speed and the clock speed on the memory bus. This bug causes connections to be dropped when transferring large files. New versions of the Linksys firmware overclock the CPU to 216 MHz. This can be fixed by logging into the router via SSH or Telnet and executing the following commands:

If you have a laptop or desktop that is equipped with both ethernet(wired) and wireless network adapter and it is connected directly to the Internet using an ADSL modem, you can share Internet connection to other computers without using wireless router. Here's how to configure Windows XP to share Internet using its own wireless adapter.
